The Cocoa Hotel, un’altra fantastica MOC, un hotel in Miami Style by Andrew Tate
The Cocoa Hotel
Here is my latest creation, the Cocoa hotel. I was inspired by old postcards depicting holiday sight and scenes. These were not always the most realistic but portrayed locations in a colourful and cheerful way.
I chose to make a more expansive building with depth as opposed height in my last creation Avenue Saint-Jacques.
There is a lot of variety in the design and style of Art Deco hotels. I chose to base my fascia mostly on the Carlyle as it was an interesting design that I had the bricks to accomplish. I always wanted to show lots of bright and bold colour and found this hotel was not too window-heavy!
I made it open-backed to allow easy access to the interior.
Downstairs there is a lobby, lounge and bar with veranda. The top two floors have 4 suites with individual bathrooms
