Alfa Romeo G1 {1921}
G1 represent the first Alfa Romeo Car, designed by Engineer Giuseppe Merosi and builded in the 1921.
I choose to realize the G1 [racecar version] because, in my opinion, it is a wonderful example of Italian Vintage Sport Car.
Currently it exist only an exemplary of this Car (chassis n° 6018); it was sold in the January 2018 RM Sotheby’s Auction for $ 445,000.
Is it possible to see many beautiful detailed pictures of the Alfa Romeo G1 in the RM Sotheby’s website.Car Features:
The Engine of the car is a 6,299-cc side-valve inline six based on a pair of cast-iron blocks of three cylinders each with fixed cylinder heads. It was the largest motor ever fitted to an Alfa, with a cylinder bore of 98 mm and a stroke of 140 mm, developing 70 bhp and 216 ft.-lbs. of torque.
The Gearbox is a four-speed manual that sent power through a single-dry plate clutch and an open driveshaft to the rear axle.
The brakes are mechanical Drum Brakes only on the rear wheels, with an auxiliary contracting foot brake that operated on the transmission.
The Suspensions are semi-elliptical springs at the front and twin quarter-elliptical springs at the rear.
The Max speed is 138 km/h (86 mph), in the 1921 was considered quite impressive.Alfa Romeo G1 LEGO model features:
